Why a Group Weight Loss Plan
For years I’ve taught people how to lose weight using real foods, but only in an expensive one-on-one setting. Late last year I was given the opportunity to help Jami Young learn how to lose weight, have more energy, and change her family’s eating habits without a die. Jami inspired me to create a program that was easily accessible to busy moms everywhere, followed on their own schedule, at a price they could afford. I finally understood I could teach women how to lose weight easily.

Jami’s personal weight loss success was impressive, but for me, even more rewarding was our appointment when she brought her daughter. She really wanted her daughter to meet me. But, her daughter was more interested in texting her friends than paying attention to anything her mom and I were doing. We were talking about how Jami needed to eat more beets to help cleanse her liver and gallbladder which would also help her weight loss continue. All of a sudden her daughter looked up and said,
“Hey, are you the lady who made me love spinach?”
Hesitantly, I said, “Yes, probably”.
She broke into this huge smile and said, “You rock! I can’t believe I love spinach.”
Then she put down the phone, looked at both her mom and I and said, “Okay, so what are we learning today?” We found a couple wonderful ways they both enjoyed beets and now Jami’s daughter asks for beets almost every day. And, Jami continues her weight loss success.

Tried Weight Loss Diets Before with No Success?
Now, you may be thinking . . . sure, it worked for others, but I’ve tried at least 15 weight loss diets and none of them worked for me!
Yep, most of my clients tell me they’ve tried every diet under the sun and they ended up right back where they started, or worse, having gained weight. That’s because there is no one-size fits all diet. Each of us is different and we have to respect and work within that difference. What works for one mom may or may not work for you. The secret is to learn what is right for your body and to incorporate that into your family’s lifestyle. How to lose weight is all about individuality.
Let me give you an example – for some moms breakfast can and should be the biggest most important meal of the day / they wake up with tons of energy, roll out of bed ready to go and hungry first thing in the morning. But for others, who get moving a little slower in the morning, eating a large meal first thing in the morning not only sounds disgusting and overwhelming, it’ actually going to cause them to be ravenously hungry for the rest of the day. These busy moms need two totally different meal plans.
The same idea is true for all aspects related to eating. Where you get your energy, where you store fat, what types of foods you should eat, what types of foods you crave, and how to overcome those cravings / these are individual topics. When you eat the foods that are in the best harmony with the metabolic needs of your body you will easily lose excess fat and have increased energy. Plus you’ll have reduced appetite, loss of cellulite, less food cravings, improved digestion, and enhanced moods. You can reach your weight loss goals easily by learning how to use real foods that are in balance with your body. We want to work with the body, not against it.
