I’m still using the abundance of strawberries! This strawberry soda – as we call it in my household – is a great substitute for the sugary drinks most people drink too much of or a great mixer for adult drinks. You choose how best to drink your summer fruit!
Strawberry Soda Juice vs. Purée
Note – this is not strawberry juice. This is puréed berries so you get all the fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals of the whole fruit. Purée also has the benefit of giving just a touch of body to the strawberry soda. It’s fabulous!
Strawberry Soda Cool Ice Cubes
To make strawberry soda even more interesting add some cool ice cubes. In this picture I placed 1-3 lemon basil leaves in an ice cube tray with the water and froze them. The strawberry soda had a hint of the lemon basil.
You could add different herbs such as mint. Or add small pieces of fruit, such as blueberries or raspberries. These “little touches” make a spectacular presentation for your strawberry soda.
