Bonding Over a Heart Attack
There’s many things I’m very excited to learn I share with other women – kids, friends, career, food, books, etc. – the one area I’m never excited to hear I share with women is a heart attack or stroke. Unfortunately, it happens way to frequently!
April Joy Ford is one of those women. An amazing individual with an incredible career, wonderful children . . . and sadly, the loss of her husband at a young age from a heart attack.
Similar to my story he was fit, healthy, no pre-existing conditions, no genetics, no reason to have a heart attack. Yet he is no longer with us . . . no longer a loving husband and father.
Suddenly a single parent with young children and devastated by the loss of her husband from an unexpected heart attack, April shares not only her story but those of many other men and women to help people realize they are not alone. Each week she takes to the airwaves to help, especially women, raise above life’s challenges.
Women (especially) Listen In
I was honored and very grateful to recently have been one of her guests. April offered another opportunity for me to share my message – my mission – to help women understand the symptoms of a heart attack and stroke. I appreciate her so much for sharing her time in order to improve the lives of other women.

I highly recommend that you listen each week. Listen every Tuesday, 4 p.m. Pacific on VoiceAmerica Empowerment Channel. You won’t hear nonstop stories of heart attack or stroke and you won’t only hear from women. April is highlighting fabulous people that will likely inspire you. If nothing else, she’ll help you realize . . . You Are Not Alone!
