Healthy Recipes for Improving Your Relationship

amazing relationshipsDid the pasta I ate last night cause the argument I had today?  Is my mood at fault?

Unfortunately for most people that question doesn’t even cross their mind.   But, I highly recommend that it does!

My husband and I are great examples of how everyone needs their personal meal plan and how food affects our moods and ultimately our relationship.  Over the years we’ve tried probably every diet ever created.  My body type swings a bit more toward a protein and veggies diet while my husband can and should include grains.  In fact, when we tried the South Beach diet – I did great but my husband started acting really weird.  He was short tempered and always on edge.  He was snapping at everyone.  I put a bowl of rice in front of him and told him to eat.  Soon he was back to his loving self.

Mood, Food, & Relationship

I had the opportunity to talk about how food can effect your mood and your relationship when I was recently interviewed for the Amazing Relationships Podcast series!

This is a hot new show in iTunes with over 70,000 downloads already and my interview is being released tomorrow. Now, I can say I’ve “shared the stage” with people such as Lisa Sasevich, Noah St. John, and Jon Sundt of Natural High & Altegris Investments!

This show is hosted by Jennifer and Peter Diepstraten of FamilyCo and they asked me about some of my best work. I cover topics such as:

  • Foods and mood: The link between what we eat, our biochemistry, and our relationships.
  • Why you and your spouse may need to eat very different diets and how you can support one another so your relationship isn’t effected
  • How to get kids more interested in eating healthy through cooking fun, safe, and healthy recipes.
  • How to change your kids (and your) taste buds so vegetables actually taste good.

For great insights on how to have food enhance your relationship, put an end to the “eat your vegetables” battle at dinner time, and create great family bonding memories in the kitchen, listen in

Plus, of course, I’m giving away some great free healthy recipes and videos!  Enjoy the show!
