Chicken with Honey & Mustard

chickenChicken Baked with Honey Mustard- An exotic recipe from Texas by Katy Reeve

Baked honey mustard chicken is an easy-to-make recipe that requires simple ingredients to make a fulfilling meal. Honey served with chicken? At the first glimpse you may find it simply comical but once you have it ready, the outcome is pretty delicious. This pretty picture of a dish entails not only taste but also a huge attraction for the kids – which is a big troubleshooter for the moms. Phew! Isn’t the meals choice one heck of a pickle for all you moms out there?

Chicken For Kids Too!

With Baked Honey Mustard Chicken, you get to have one big addition to your meals list. Easy to prepare with a preparation time of nothing more than an hour, this recipe has a large amount of nutritional value that you will always prefer for your child.

Chicken Ingredients:

• Boneless Chicken breast pieces

• Salt, pepper according to the suitability of the chef

• Half cup of fresh honey

• Half cup of mustard

• Basil of about 1 teaspoon

• About 1 teaspoon paprika

• Parsley in about half a teaspoon

Chicken Procedure:

Heat the oven until it reaches the temperature of about 170 degrees C (let’s say between 325 & 350 degrees F). The next step would involve the marinating of the chicken pieces. Start out by spraying over the chicken pieces with the appropriate salt and pepper in a baking dish.

Follow the typical baking technique of greasing the dish with coconut oil. Now make the actual paste that will cover the chicken pieces. Add the honey, mustard, parsley, paprika and basil in a bowl and mix the whole paste well enough.

Now add about half the amount of this mixture to the chicken pieces and make sure you cover most part of the pieces.

The final step is the baking part where the chicken covered with the mixture is added to the oven that has reached the required temperature. Once the upper side of the chicken is done, you take the dish out and pour the rest of the marinating mixture over the chicken pieces.

Put the dish back in the oven and this time; keep it inside for around ten to fifteen minutes. A clear indication of the time the chicken’s done is when it reaches a firm golden brown color from the pinkish tinge and the mixture gets dry.

Allow the chicken pieces to cool for a few minutes before serving them.
